Answer: 

Yes 
Head will be change.
If we increase suction tank level Head will be increased.
If we decrease suction tank level Head will be decreased.

When suction tank level is higher pump suction pressure will also raise.
This will result in higher Head.

2. What is Total Head, Suction head, Discharge head?

Answer

Total head refers to total water lift 
from Suction tank highest level
to water 

Total head Ht is
Total head formula
Hd = Discharge head
Height of water in discharge line.

Hs = Suction head
Height of water in suction line.

3. If you have suction reservoir which level is below impeller eye then How to calculate Total Head of Pump?


Suction level low than impeller eye

Answer:

Pump will be Produce same Total head.

But reduction in Hd Discharge head.

Because reduction in Hs Suction head.

Pump have to work up lift water which consumes energy.
Rest energy will produce Hd Discharge head

In above example pump will produce Zero flow with discharge pressure. 
This is called Shut off Head.

When discharge flow is increasing Pressure is reducing.

It is not advisable to run pump at zero flow for long time. Pump will be heated and no heat release due to zero flow.

 

4. If you have pump which produces 30 meter head will it actually work in 30 meter height?

Answer: 

No.

It will not working

We have to consider Static Head loss & Friction Head Loss,

After that We have sufficient flow at Discharge head.
